Responsibilities under Desired Job

 

Supervision of Field Operations:

Oversee the daily operations of field teams involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

Ensure that all field activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with PEPCO’s standards and regulations.

Team Management:

Supervise and direct a team of technicians, linemen, and support staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure that work is completed on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Conduct training sessions for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Maintenance and Repair:

Oversee the routine maintenance and repair of power lines, transformers, substations, and other electrical equipment.

Ensure timely resolution of faults and outages in the electrical network to minimize downtime and service interruptions.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and standards during all field operations.

Ensure that all team members use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures.

Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Quality Control:

Monitor the quality of work performed by field teams, ensuring compliance with PEPCO’s operational standards and industry best practices.

Implement corrective actions if work does not meet required quality levels or if safety standards are not adhered to.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of all field activities, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and any incidents or issues encountered.

Prepare and submit reports to higher management detailing the status of ongoing projects, maintenance activities, and any challenges faced.

Customer Service:

Address customer concerns related to power supply issues, outages, or service requests.

Coordinate with the customer service department to ensure that customer complaints are resolved promptly and efficiently.

Coordination with Other Departments:

Collaborate with other departments, such as planning and engineering, to ensure that field operations align with broader project goals and schedules.

Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams for the timely availability of materials and equipment required for fieldwork.

Project Execution:

Assist in the execution of small to medium-scale projects, including network upgrades, new installations, and system expansions.

Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Emergency Response:

Respond to emergencies such as power outages, faults, or accidents affecting the electrical network.

Coordinate emergency repair teams and manage resources effectively to restore power and address issues as quickly as possible.

Incomplete or late applications won't be considered. Test dates will be notified to shortlisted candidates via oRea-Pakistan. A minimum of 50% marks in the test is required to qualify. The appointing authority may set a higher threshold if needed.
