Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) was established in 1998 for implementation of the Strategic Plan for Privatization of Power Wing of WAPDA, approved by the Council of Common Interest (CCI) in 1993. Responsibilities under Desired Job
Drafting and Mapping:
Assist engineers and technical teams in creating technical drawings and maps of electrical grids, transmission lines, and distribution systems.
Prepare diagrams and layouts based on verbal instructions, sketches, or existing drawings.
Update and modify existing maps and drawings to reflect changes or new installations.
Field Data Collection:
Visit field sites to collect measurements and other data required for accurate mapping.
Assist in surveys and help in gathering information for new power line routes or infrastructure projects.
Blueprint Creation:
Convert sketches and field notes into detailed blueprints and schematics used by engineers and technicians.
Ensure all blueprints conform to PEPCO’s standards and follow technical specifications.
Collaboration with Engineers:
Work closely with electrical engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy in technical drawings and layouts.
Assist in the preparation of plans for new power projects and maintenance of existing infrastructure.
Document Management:
Maintain files of technical drawings, blueprints, and maps for easy access and reference.
Ensure all drawings are properly labeled and archived in line with PEPCO’s documentation policies.
Support for Maintenance and Construction:
Assist in preparing drawings for maintenance work on power lines, substations, and other electrical infrastructure.
Provide support during the construction of new transmission lines by preparing accurate plans and diagrams.
Accuracy and Compliance:
Ensure that all drawings are made with accuracy and conform to technical specifications.
Follow all safety guidelines and comply with PEPCO’s operational policies while preparing technical diagrams.
Updating Infrastructure Maps:
Update infrastructure maps to reflect new developments, extensions, or changes in the power grid.
Keep records of modifications to existing maps and ensure that all data is up to date.
